Default Ruby Star Rising

First fabric line from Melody Miller of Ruby Star Rising. Kokka is producing this cool line - I've been waiting forever! Melody will be at Quilt Market - hoping someone gets some pictures of her booth...
You can see a preview on her website: ruby star rising: the fabric!

Little Bluebell will be there and she'll definitely take pictures. Maybe we can get some insights to post here, and definitely pictures of Little Bluebell with Melody!

I love those preview pictures - the coffee cups and transistor radios are my favorites so far. The overlapping viewfinders is pretty neat. Anyone know the dimensions on a single viewfinder circle?

Little Bluebell took this picture with her phone at Quilt Market:

I hope we have some close up shots later. I have to admit this was one of those fabric lines where just looking at the previews, while I enjoy the look a lot, I wouldn't know what to do with it. But looking at all these finished goods really opens up the imagination.

I really like the Viewfinder prints and think it could make a fun quilt border with a circle theme for the blocks.

This sounds kind of silly but I would love to have lampshades made of that fabric. Does any one know if I can use quilting cotton to make lampshades?

Here's a nice photo of Melody Miller's booth with Ruby Star Rising. This is from Little Bluebell's blog here.

Click on the image to see the full sized picture. You can see the detail in the background.

Have you been watching how quickly Melody Miller Ruby Star Rising was selling out at all of the online quilt stores? It's the current contender for this season's Flea Market Fancy.

If I had to guess which prints would have been the most popular when this was line was introduced, I would have never guessed the Vintages Ladies and Viewfinder prints would be so popular!

Fabricworm sold out of these too but their is a note saying a reorder on 12/27 so that woudl be in stock soon perhaps. Fabric worm does have the other Ruby Star Rising prints available. As the online quilt stores get more of these 6 prints of Ruby Star Rising in, I'll post them here.

Oh, and did you see what Oh Fransson is doing with the vintage ladies? I'm not even going to spoil it by linking to an image here, you'll have to click through and see the stripes for yourself!

Fabricworm just told me their Ruby Star Rising restock has arrived. Go get your Vintage Ladies and Viewfinders before they are all gone!
