Question My Love of Fabric

I am new here, and hope to learn more about the fabrics....

I love fabrics, the natural and old/historical fabrics are art forms in my eyes.

I do a little sewing, like to do alterations mainly, to bring some of my clothes up to date.

Sometimes, I get myself into trouble by taking on big projects that takes months to complete them, and by then either I change my mind or the fashion reverts itself back to what these designs were originally!

Hello:

Thank you, I am fine, just trying to fix one jacket before the Springs comes.. How are you yourself?

I am glad that you collect faux leather samples, not many people do. I respect the collecters of any kind of fabric but I only like to have the natural fabrics, Tafetta being my favour.

I went to the site you have givin the link for; It looks there are a lot to study there for me.

What you think about the shimmering fabrics people use these days; It is so hard to find a parka that is not shiny.

Take care.

Well, in my own opinion, shimmering fabrics has a look and feel of being classy elegant. In case of faux leather (which is also shiny) it looks really sexy.

Why would you keep from finding a parka that is not shiny when you can create some stunning on the shiny one?

Thanks and looking forward to your opinion too. By the way, feel free to have free samples from our site, just or your reference.

Just that I am middle-aged, too old for shiny coats...

(Perhaps we should take this to other section, "Talk Fabric"...?)
