Well hello there! I would like to welcome you to the forum though I am new here as well. I have been in this sewing hobby/business for well over years now. And my earliest memory of sewing dates back to when I was still 8(like curvysewing here).

I got the inclination from my mom who used to do a lot of stuffed toys as that was their family business before. And I think that the whole thing runs very deep.
