Cloud9 Fabrics has hit the road! They have a trunk show where they'll be showing off some tutorials and projects from the Cloud9 Tutorials and Projects blog.
Here's the schedule, coming to a local modern fabric store near you: September 10-20 | Portland, ORWe'll have to visit some of these and take pictures to post here. If you are near any of these stores, we'd love to see some pictures (be sure to ask the store owner for permission!). |

Here are my favorites from the Cloud9 blog post.
At first, I didn't think I'd be a huge fan of the Forest Friends owl print from looking at just a small square online, but when you see it in this crib quilt here, it's quite impressive to see owls all across: I also like the Forest Friends prints for bags. The "B" pillow I like as well, especially the big letter in the middle: Our 2-year old will LOVE a giant H right there. And the great thing about an "H" is it can't ever be upside down! |

If I made an "H" pillow, what do you think about having the bunnies in normal direction on the left column closes to the middle (same as in the picture), and then facing the other direction (i.e. upside down) for the right column closest to the middle?
In this case, the letter "B" is either right-side-up and upside-down, so both middle columns of bunnies are right-side-up. But if I did a letter like an "H" which has looks the same when you turn it 180-degrees, what should I do with the columns of bunnies? I could also find an H that is obviously right side up or upside down, maybe something with a base to define the "bottom" of the letter. |
